This much was driven home to me by a speaker at the South African family law conference at which I attended as a speaker last week- where it is apparent that South Africa appears not to be compliant with the Hague Convention.The 1980 Hague Convention and the 1996 Hague Convention are conventions signed at The Hague in the Netherlands.
